What Is NLP?

NLP stands for :

Neuro – Your thinking process-the way you use your senses to understand what is happening around you.

Programming- Your behaviour- the way you organize your ideas and actions, which produce expected and unexpected results.

NLP teaches that our mind-body (neuro) and what we say (language) all interact together to form our perception of the world, or map (programming). Each person’s map of the world determines feelings and behaviour. Therefore, maps can restrict choices and results in problems

NLP tries to detect and modify unconscious biases or limitations of an individual’s map of the world. NLP operates through the conscious use of language to bring about changes in someone’s thoughts and behaviours.

Your therapist identify your primary representational system (PRS) and base your therapeutic framework around it. NLP uses a method of personal development through promoting skills, such as self-reflection, confidence, and communication.
